Andy McMahon, founder of Phoenix Publishing, speaking on stage

Andy McMahon, Founder

Andy McMahon started Phoenix Publishing House after seeing the same problem again and again in self-publishing: authors signing away control of their own books. Too many companies lock writers into bundled packages, hold their files, or tie their titles to accounts the author doesn’t own. If the relationship ends, the author is left starting over.

Having worked in the publishing industry and helped many authors bring their books to market, Andy built Phoenix to work differently. Services are à la carte, so authors pay only for what they need. Books are published under the author’s own accounts, and the files belong to the author. They keep their rights and their royalties, and they’re free to take their book anywhere, anytime.

Andy’s favorite titles aren’t on a bookshelf: husband and dad. He lives in Georgia with his wife and kids, and spends most of his free time with them. His advice to every author is the same: keep writing.
